It’s hard to properly convey what the meal was: but in short, 25 of us were treated to seven courses that reminded us all to reconsider our expectations about flavor and texture. Salmon re-emerged as a frozen mouse, cucumber became sorbet, beets became meringues filled with whipped camembert cheese, toasted hay became ice cream, sesame became a powder and spruce was set on fire, exclusively to create a complimentary essence.  Thank you so, so much to Matt and his team, as well as to Molly Wizenberg and Brandon Pettit of Delancey, who generously offered their space for the event.
