Last weekend, 20 musical acts teamed up with 20 filmmakers at the Sports Basement in San Francisco to embark on a 48 hour journey to produce 20 original music videos in the first-ever Music Video Race. This Sunday, May 27th, the videos will hit the big screen. At the end of the night, Music Video Race will declare a winner.
Who is judging? Well, Jacob Krupnick, captain of Girl Walk // All Day, is one of the two judges, alongside Brent Hoff, curator of Wholphin, the quarterly DVD magazine published by McSweeney’s. They’re both busy watching the videos this week as they gear up for this Sunday’s party and finale.
This Sunday’s Screening Party is open to all ages, and will go down at The Rickshaw Stop (155 Fell Street, San Francisco, CA) with live performances by three of the competing bands, Big Light, Le VICE and doppio. Get your tickets here, check out the videos and say hi to Jacob, who’s heading out to SF just for the occasion.
